Trump moves heaven and earth to stop the National Archives from delivering documents to lawmakers. But he has only until Friday.

When Trump kept walking up and down the courts to keep his tax returns and other financial records shielded from prosecutors, I thought he was just trying to stop the political fallout of his overseas investments.

I had no idea he hardly had anything to invest and had paid just $750 as federal taxes for two consecutive years. The financial records did not shine a bright light on a genius billionaire. Instead, it revealed a businessman who jumped into politics due to sheer financial desperation.

The Bottomline: Trump sues to hide his darkness from public view.

Donald Trump “filed an emergency request to a federal judge late Monday night to prevent the National Archives from sending sensitive records to Jan. 6 committee investigators by Friday.”

Judge Tanya Chutkan rejected the suit and called the request premature and defective.

Donald Trump’s attorneys are running around as if their tail is lit on fire. It makes one wonder about the contents of the documents.
