Who needs Ron DeSantis when you already have Biden
U.S. Air Force veteran Sam Lerman derided the Biden administration’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan as “murder by incompetence.” I don’t think the veteran is talking about Biden’s decision to pull out of Afghanistan. Instead, it must be about the way the administration ran towards the Afghan exit.
Naive. Callous. Incompetent.
“The chop of U.S. military helicopters whisking American diplomats to Kabul’s airport” is all the evidence you need to confirm the level of incompetence at play here.
The Biden administration did not anticipate the Taliban in Kabul two weeks before the planned full military withdrawal. Instead, they were caught off-guard because their commander-in-chief could see nothing but the big exit door leading into the midterms.
President Biden wanted to heed the majority opinion and withdraw American troops from Afghanistan. As the commander-in-chief, he does have the authority to do so. I am not here to suggest Biden must have extended the two-decade war by a few more years.
But what kind of commander-in-chief is he — when his predictions keep coming apart at the seams.
