Can Any Trickle-Down Supporter Explain This
The anti-tax, anti-regulation, small-government idealogy is a farce. And I offer the bottom eight states governed by the Republican party as proof.
I have a straightforward question for conservatives and anyone who says the Republican party is better than the Democratic party in managing the nation's economic affairs.
Can you see the chart attached above? When you order all the 50 states by GDP per capita (economic output per resident), the top six are Democratic states while the bottom eight are Republican states.
The chart looks like democrats have a mini-occupy democrats movement at the top of the chart. In contrast, the Republicans have a mini-occupy Republicans movement at the bottom of the pile.
As of 2021, Democrats control 18 state legislatures, Republicans control 30 legislatures, Nebraska is unicameral, and Minnesota is split. As Nebraska voted for Trump in 2020, while Minnesota went for Biden, I have assigned the former state for Republicans and the latter for Democrats. District of Columbia is excluded.
One can attribute the skew to Republicans governing more states. But that will be akin…
