Biden can stop worrying about the left

The right-wing did not send Donald Trump to the White House in 2016. The left-wing did. By voting for third-party candidates in large numbers, the left drilled a hole in the hull of Mrs.Clinton’s ship and sank her in the midwest and the south.

Florida has transformed into a safe Republican state. Not because of an ascendant right-wing. But because the democratic party apparatus in Florida collapsed after Clinton’s loss in 2016.

• Hillary Clinton: 4,504,975
• Difference: 112,911
• Votes for third party canddiates: 297,025

Third-party candidates received less than 100,000 votes in 2012 and 2020. But they captured three times the average in 2016. It was a protest vote by the left to avenge their bruising loss in the 2016 Democratic primary.

Though President Biden never allowed the progressives to kill his agenda by masterfully managing their hunger, an ascendant left would have shortened his bi-partisanship embrace.
