Wagner Mercenaries chief, the war lord Putin created to keep the power of the Russian Ministry of Defense in check, has declared a mutiny. Putin created multiple military formations in order to avoid a coup.

Having factions stops any faction from becoming too powerful. But what happens when one faction retains its power while the rest falls apart?

That’s when a rebellion happens.

Wagner Chief Yevgeney Prigozhin’s troops have stormed Russia’s southern military headquarters in Rostov-on-don. Prigozhin first accused the Russian ministry of defense for attacking his troops and then went on to take control of Russia’s southern city.

After taking control of Rostov-on-Don, Prighozin, who leads an estimated 25,000 men, has promised to march towards Moscow.

“We’re blockading the city of Rostov and going to Moscow,” said Mr. Prigozhin
