David Perdue lost his senate re-election bid early this year because Donald Trump told the MAGA base it isn’t worth voting.

Donald Trump has found the next Ted Cruz in David Perdue. A man without a backbone. Ted Cruz sidestepped the humiliation Trump meted out to his family to shore up his re-election bid in 2018.
David Perdue will do the same. He will use the help of a man who defeated him early this year to resurrect his political career. With Donald Trump’s backing, former Senator Davide Perdue launched a primary challenge to Georgia Gov Brian Kemp.
“I’m running for governor to make sure Stacey Abrams is never governor of Georgia,” Perdue said in a video posted on his campaign website.
