Germany looks set to take control
The two day cease-fire Russian President Vladimir Putin announced came and went. The objective was to make a last minute announcement that Ukraine will not be able to respond and then blame them for being aggressive and callous against Russian overtures for peace.
Misinformation and mind games used to be Putin’s forte. But even those skillsets are unfailingly failing him. Poor Putin couldn’t even manage to get his own local commanders to stop firing into Ukrainian positions. The call to cease fire by Putin never made it into the global media. It disappeared in the night sky of Ukraine. Nobody bothers overanalyzing Putin’s actions any longer, just a mere mention seems to be enough.
After going through an extremely strong evolutionary phase in 2022, the world’s view of Ukraine has finally snapped decisively in 2023 in favor of the country. Recent events suggest that the world is giving up its pretenses and accepting that Ukraine can win the war.
