Re-election campaign lays the foundation for a potential Presidential bid

South Carolina Senator Tim Scott is on the rise. Figuratively and financially.

  • Big money is chasing the only Black GOP senator.
  • Big money never chases long shots.
  • Big money hunts for low-risk, high-reward opportunities.

Senator Tim Scott is up for re-election in 2022. But he is competing in South Carolina, a deep red state. Trump won South Carolina by 11 points, with Senator Lindsey Graham close on his tail with a 10 point win. Barring a miracle, we can expect Tim Scott to be in the Senate in 2023.

Oracle founder Larry Ellison did not drop $10 million dollars into a pro-Scott super PAC to help the Senator win a highly winnable race. The money will help Senator Scott build his campaign, win his re-election, and then use the resources to propel him in the 2024 Republican primary.

Not just Larry Ellison, several GOP megadonors are lining up to help Senator Scott. “The PAC’s second-largest donor is Las Vegas casino billionaire Steve Wynn, and the third-largest sum came from South Carolina businessperson Ben Navarro and his wife, Kelly”.
