Democrats should not worry about a MAGA candidate running for President. They should be more worried about a moderate Republican running for President.
Because I tend to jump ship as if I never supported the ship I was on. Out of the two parties, I believe the Republican party is the one that needs to be pulled forcefully to the center. If a candidate offers me the chance to do just that, I will gladly sign up.
Maybe that’s what the Virginians did last week. You never know.
The high decibel nature of the left and the right make us think they are everywhere and the country has gone bonkers. The truth is — there is one-third of independents in plenty of states like Virginia and Arizona.
If the country is so severely polarized, why do so many Americans refuse to register as a Republican or a Democrat? A decent portion of America is polarized, and their opinion about the other side has hardened over the years.
