Harris turns Trump-Vance into a one-trick pony
Trump brings back a strategy that failed him over and over and over
There are two major surprises I have had since Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee for President: one good and one bad.
I never thought Harris would manage to close the gap with the Republicans on the economy. Some polls show her close behind, while others have her ahead. People I talk to also express this sentiment. Their view of Kamala Harris on the economic front has shifted from ‘we don’t know yet’ to ‘it sounds good to me.’
It is still a huge surprise that the Republicans have managed to maintain their facade for this long.
Negative tactics work.
The GOP invests a significant amount of their energy in attacks, constantly telling Americans that their lives are falling apart, that they are not doing well, and that Democrats are to blame for everything going wrong in the country.
If you look beneath the surface, there is no one in the world with a worse economic track record than the Republicans. It takes something special to be in America, enjoy the benefits of its system, and still manage to achieve a GDP per capita of less than $40,000.
