On April 24th, NYPost ran a tabloid-worthy invitation “KAM ON IN” on its front page. According to the pre-updated version of the story, migrant children received a copy of a children’s book written by Vice President Kamala Harris at taxpayer expense.
Three days later, the author of the story, Laura Italiano, resigned and said she was forced to write an “incorrect story.”
How do you force a journalist with nearly three decades of experience to write an incorrect story is still beyond my level of intelligence. But for a short period, let us declare Laura Italiano to be journalistic moral debt-free and move on.
