How Tesla Model 3 is Changing the Auto Industry

Tesla Model 3 has dominated the US luxury car segment since its launch in July 2017 and there is no indication that its dominance is about to wane before its third anniversary.

Three years is a lifetime in the automotive world.

In general, new cars are fully redesigned every four to six years. Occasionally, the model cycle for a specific car or truck will last more than six years. In between redesigns, every three years or so, cars are given a face-lift to help keep them looking fresh. This is what’s called the automotive “model cycle,” and it exists, without fail, for virtually every single car company. — Autotrader

Tesla has sold more than 300k Model 3. And that’s only in the United States. If Tesla drops the price, Model 3 sales will further improve. Throw in China and Europe into the mix, Tesla may end up selling way more than half-million Model 3 in just three regions - North America, Europe, and China.
