I did check with several reliable sources. Even several EU parliamentarians wrote about it. FT may have been biased, but don't think they will go this far. Too much off a stretch. Anyways, still waiting for an official refusal from white house spokesperson. But it has not come yet. If it comes through I will update the story, if not then we have to believe the FT story is true.
