U.S standards are difficult to match

Senator Joe Manchin Twitter Account

Name one senator who can rewrite the democratic infrastructure bill and reduce it to half the original size?

Joe Manchin

Name one democratic senator who wants to slow down the country’s transition to clean energy?

Joe Manchin

Name one senator whose family business sells coal waste, the dirtiest fuel in the United States, to a power plant?

Joe Manchin

Good Grief

Senator Joe Manchin’s stock in Enersystems, Inc. is worth $5 million. “Since 2010, when Manchin was elected to the Senate, the company has paid him more than $5 million, disclosure records show”.

Grant Town Power Plant in West Virginia submitted a proposal to the state government last week.

The plant’s owner wants to “burn a mix of discarded shale, clay and slurry dug out of nearby coal mines that closed years ago.”

Enersystems makes money by selling “waste coal piled up outside two shuttered mines.”

Joe Manchin’s defense

He is not directly involved in Enersystems, and his investments are held in a blind trust run by his son.
