It is a huge freaking problem. US is still actively helping Ukraine with recon. So does NATO. Sweden is scheduled to deliver two AWACS aircraft to Ukraine. But what you said is a very valid threat and it will create a huge targeting problem for Ukraine. Europe has a lot of AWACS aircraft. You need at least four I think or six to start 24/7 coverage. So, it can be done but it is yet to be done.
