It is moving way too fast for the pollsters to keep track of. I have seen this kind of movement after October 25th, but this year it seemed to start around mid-October. Unfortunately, many pollsters scheduled their polls for the last week of October, leaving the third week a significant gap. We had no major polls coming out in the last week, which allowed a flood of GOP-biased polls to dominate the landscape. This was a genuine mistake that was exploited by GOP groups. Polls have become quite expensive; if I had a polling company, I would have done the same and saved it for the last week. As a result, the polls are appearing to show a tie, when in reality, we are currently facing a data lag of at least a week.
