The following headline will remain etched in history following the implosion of the 2022 red wave:

Despite a historically challenging environment, Democrats held on to all their Senate seats while Republicans continued their losing streak.

The House still remains a bit too close for a definitive call. I suspect the Republicans will take control by less than five seats, while Democrats retain control of the Senate by 51 seats. The December run-off in Georgia will decide whether or not the Democrats will have the additional margin in the Senate.

Without gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp and Secretary of State candidate Brad Raffensperger, the Republican Senate nominee for Georgia, Herschel Walker, would have already lost.

Because Walker was part of the Republican coalition that stood up to Trump, he was able to garner 1.9 million votes. In comparison, Brian Kemp garnered 2.109 million votes, while Brad Raffensperger received 2.079 million votes.

Almost 200k Georgians who voted for Brian Kemp, refused to vote next to Herschel Walker. When Walker is left to defend himself under the national spotlight, he will expose a whole lot of his vulnerabilities. It is more likely that Walker will lose the runoff than win it.
