The people who gave Trump a chance in 2016, the moderates, now have an understanding that Trump bullshits. He just wants the existing swamp to be replaced with his own.

Second, people want change. They need something new to hold on to. If you look closely Trump is recycling what he did in 2016 and a little bit of 2020. Harris is new. That is refreshing. When you bring out old campaign ideas against the other side that feels refreshing, it will not work.
