Putin loves Peace

The man who razed Chechnya, railroaded Syria, squeezed out portions of Georgia, stole Crimea during the day, and then tried to bomb Ukraine at night, now wants peace.

Not for Ukraine, but for Hamas.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that an Israeli ground invasion of Gaza could lead to a broader regional conflict. “Our main task is to stop the bloodshed and violence,” he said, “otherwise, further escalation of the crisis is fraught with grave and extremely dangerous consequences. And not only for the Middle East region. It could spill over far beyond the borders of the Middle East.”

Wait a minute!

Did he just say the war could spill over beyond the border of the Middle East? This is the map of the Middle East: it has Europe to the north, the Arabian Sea to the South, Africa to the west, and Asia to the east. So, he surely can’t be talking about a war in Africa, or a war in Asia, or a war in the Arabian Sea. He is very clearly talking about Europe, when he said “far beyond the borders of the Middle East.”
