Republicans Bungled the Perfect Opportunity to Rewrite History
Now they have to own it forever
Google’s English dictionary developed using Oxford Languages lists 123 synonyms for ‘idiot.’ Humankind is the only species that uses so many different ways to mean the same thing. But there is only one word that accurately explains the Republican strategy to distract and deflect 2020 pandemic mismanagement blame away from their shoulders — idiocy.
The Republican party is desperately looking for a shoulder to rest the blame for their clumsy response to control COVID last year. Dr. Anthony Fauci and accusing China of engineering the virus, also known as the Wuhan lab leak theory, are the two shoulders they have identified to go after. Still, sadly for them, neither one is ready to offer them a helping hand.
Fauci is untouchable. Wuhan lab remains unreachable.
