Goldman Sachs’ downgrade of the U.S. economy proves opposition to BBB is full of overflowing non-sense.

For days, I was scratching my head trying to figure out why Joe Manchin would oppose child tax credit.

It made no sense whatsoever.

Manchin kept saying he did not want the country to become an entitlement society. But we all know it is just a political talking point.

There must be something else going on.

After some extensive run around the information rabbit holes, let me present to you the bow that shot the Manchin arrow — the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Someone at the top levels of the U.S. corporations does not want the child tax credit to pass.

On November 10th, 2021, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce released a statement against Biden’s Build Back Better proposal.

They wrote the following:

  • What is the impact of the legislation on workforce participation, especially given the large amounts of transfer payments that are not connected to work?
