The One State that Can Swing the Results this Year
Democrats have made their move
President Biden visited eight states in 18 days, a list filled with the usual suspects: Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada — the states he must win to secure the White House.
However, there was another state, a pleasant surprise added to the list. On March 26th, President Biden made a stop in North Carolina.
Speaking to a crowd of more than 200 Democratic leaders and supporters in the gymnasium of a community center near downtown Raleigh, the president and vice president attacked Republicans for seeking to repeal or limit parts of the Affordable Care Act. Ms. Harris called them “extremists,” who are “trying to take away medical care in our country or make it more expensive.”
“Trump didn’t level with the American people. He told Americans, all they had to do was inject bleach into themselves,” Mr. Biden said.
In 2020, President Biden lost North Carolina to Donald Trump by two points, with a margin of 74,483 votes separating the winner from the loser. In 2016, Donald Trump carried the state by a wider margin of 173,315 votes.
