When asked about the infrastructure headaches of the democratic party, GOP Rep. Randy Weber made a tongue-in-cheek comment, "There's an old saying: 'When your enemy is trying to commit suicide, never get between him and the gun."

It's true. The Democrats took their eye off the ball and got hit by the ball in the head.

For decades Americans have told politicians very clearly nothing matters to them more than the economy.

The economy "was the most important issue driving Virginia voters, and people who put the economy at the top of their list favored Youngkin by a dozen percentage points."

The race between the GOP and the Democrats in Virginia was close. I will not follow the national media and call this a red wave. If winning a blue state that historically votes for the opposition by less than 100,000 votes is a red wave, the media should call the 2020 presidential election a blue tsunami.

So according to the national media Biden swept Pennsylvania (+80k) and Michigan (+154k) in 2020 with a blue wave. I don’t remember anyone calling…
