Don't you even dare to annoy them
When blue states keep voting blue and red states keep voting red, swing states rule the White House. When the MAGA base votes for Republicans and Democratic constituents turnout for the democrats, independents call the name of the winner in purple states.
The November 2021 results are a huge wake-up call for both parties. But, unfortunately, there is plenty of bad news for both political parties.
Yes, Republicans included!
Glenn Youngkin did not win Virginia by embracing Trump. He won by keeping a safe distance from Trump. The successful introduction of Trump-Lite does not augur well for the Republican party living under Trump's spell.
We must thank Virginians for sending one heck of a message to the Republican party.
More than the loss in Virginia, the democrats should ring the alarm bells due to their close shave in New Jersey. A blue state Biden won in 2020 with 16 points has swung 15 points in the opposite direction.
