Kursk still played a huge role in the trouble Russia is facing. Most of the casualties suffered by Russia since August came from Kursk. Every casualty adds its own bill to the Kremlin. It is the battle for Kursk that is draining the Russian army.

I think Ukraine has to find a way to keep the fight on until June-July. That would do. Putin will run out of money, unless Xi gives him 50 billion or Trump lifts all sanctions.

Both these cases have extremely low odds. But not zero odds.
