And Russia’s Friend

Most of us try to overlook the incredibly painful life Ukrainian people have been forced to live, similar to Ukrainians who rely on victories on the battlefield to cover up the pain of their own suffering.

More than a hundred thousand Russian soldiers have been killed, but Putin has ordered his minions to keep finding more bodies among the 143 million Russians.

Dictatorship has its perks. It is simply a matter of telling people what they have to do, and if they refuse, they can be arrested. The Russian army regularly jails, and even kills, soldiers who are unwilling to fight.

The flow of Oil and gas dollars allowed Putin to stretch the war to nearly a year. He seems to be learning from his mistakes and making adjustments accordingly. Putin has taken three important steps to stretch this war deep into 2023.

1. “Western intelligence officials noted that Russian military command is in “serious preparations” for a potential second wave of mobilization”.

2. The Washington., D.C based think tank ISW reported this week that “conventional Russian units regrouping and training in Belarus and in Russia”.
