Tokmak Not a Target for Ukraine’s Pursuit

It is a vital stone that needs a lot of attention

While talking to French diplomats in Paris on Tuesday, Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, highlighted that by fortifying the perimeters of Robotyne, they are paving the path toward Tokmak and, eventually, Melitopol as well as the border adjoining Crimea.

Kuleba’s speech comes in the wake of a comparable statement from Hanna Malyar, Ukraine’s deputy defense minister, who asserted just a few days earlier that Ukraine is resolutely advancing its aims within the Southern region. While the inclination is not to divulge objectives outright, Ukraine’s intent is evident. This transparency arises from the acknowledgment that both the Ukrainians and the Russians engaged in the battlefield possess a comprehensive understanding of the prevailing circumstances.

The focus of Ukraine’s strategy is directed towards the Tokmak axis — a fact well grasped by both Ukrainians and Russians involved in the conflict. Given this certainty surrounding the goal of controlling Tokmak, it becomes prudent to share this information with the allies who are backing the war effort. By openly communicating their intentions, it establishes a logical approach: laying out the plan to the supporters, then proceeding to execute it as intended.
