“It should be the power of our vote, not the size of our bank account, that drives our democracy,” President Obama extolled during his State of the Union Address in 2014.

Idealistic.

But impossible.

Is it even possible to make money irrelevant in politics? I don’t think so. But there is one man on a mission to suck money out of Republican politics. Not all of it, but certainly a good portion of it.

The best part — he is going to hold on to it as long as possible. If the Republican party does not wake up and do something about it, they will pile one loss on top of another all the way to 2024.

The Trump Cash Machine

It has been exactly 2246 days since Donald Trump started collecting money to fuel his political ambitions. And he hasn’t stopped.

He did not take a break when he was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States.

He did not stop when Biden was sworn in as the 46th.

A fundraising group run by former President Donald Trump raised $62 million in the first half of 2021 but only spent $3 million, with the biggest chunk of money going to a pro-Trump research…
