During the 2020 election cycle, I added three states to my “must-watch every day” list: Florida, Arizona, and Georgia. By the time you finish reading this article, you’ll know why I chose them.

This year, I have picked North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Georgia to watch closely. I announced this on August 24th:

All three states — PA, GA, and NC — will remain tight until the end of this election. With these three states, Donald Trump would reach 265 electoral votes, leaving him just one state short of victory.

This is the route the Trump campaign will be eyeing: win all the states Trump won in 2020, including North Carolina, then add Pennsylvania, Georgia and Nevada. This is the most likely route, with other states providing a buffer.

Yesterday, we received secondary confirmation of that assessment. The Trump campaign’s ad spending suggests that Donald Trump is indeed focusing on the NC, PA, and GA route to win the election.
