It’s time for U.S. General Mark Milley and Russian President Vladimir Putin to talk. Their differences of opinion can’t be resolved by talking to the camera.

According to Vlad, if he didn’t attack Ukraine, Ukraine would have attacked Russia. The underlying message is that Ukraine can militarily defeat Russia. According to Milley, Ukraine cannot win this war militarily because Russia is not a spent force as we all thought.

Initially I didn’t get them both. But over time it slowly came to me. Both men are humble, brutally honest, and do not want to underestimate the enemy.

Great men.

Talk Aloud.

Since Milley and Putin have very similar viewpoints, they should meet at opposite ends of the world’s longest table, negotiate, and save the planet.

Let’s leave these two world leaders at their table and focus on reality. (I am being sarcastic to illustrate Milley’s error in making those public comments. Putin will never sit across the table with him.)

The Obvious

In reality, Ukraine never does the obvious. Instead, they do the obvious after making us tired of expecting it.
