The Ukrainian Grind
Liberates Makarivka, Neskuchne, Blahodatne, Storozheve, and Novodarivka
The Russian armed forces took more than four months and 100,000 plus casualties to win nothing. Not a village. Not a single town. They fought and fought and fought. But have nothing to show in return. Can’t count Bakhmut victory because it was achieved by the war lord, Yevgeny Prigozhin, not the Russian ministry of defense.
It took Ukraine just a few days to liberate Makarivka, Neskuchne, Blahodatne, Storozheve, and Novodarivka since they ramped up their attacks last week.
Geolocated footage and Russian sources indicated that Ukrainian forces liberated multiple settlements during continued ground attacks south, southwest, and southeast of Velyka Novosilka in western Donetsk Oblast.
Several layers of defensive positions have been constructed in front of the first line of Russian defenses. Think of it like positioning an army in front of a fort or a walled garrison. A good example of positioning troops to meet an enemy is in the movie Troy, where two armies fight in front of a defensive wall.
