Here’s why it is such horrendous news for the whole world
A Reuters report published hours ago said, Russian negotiators “gave an undertaking to sharply scale back military activity around Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and the northern city of Chernihiv, in the most tangible sign yet of progress towards a peace deal”.
The media has already fallen for the peace talks trap.
The Russians are still not done with Ukraine. They are used to throwing more bodies into every fight. I am not sure why they will do everything different from now on.
It feels a bit repugnant to make a case for the war in Ukraine to continue for some more time. But, some times in life, you have to make those difficult decisions. This is certainly one of those situations where the hard way out is much better than the easy way out.
