The father of global income inequality and the general of the trickle-down economic war on the middle class, Ronald Reagan, was governor of California before he became president.

The state that sent a Republican to the White House now has a democratic trifecta. Democrats are often able to maintain supermajority control in California.

California got Pete Wilson’d.

In 1991, Pete Wilson was elected governor of California.

Four years later, Wilson knew the wind wasn’t blowing in his favor when he ran for re-election. All his efforts(!) to rescue the state from the worst recession since the Great Depression failed. He knew the voters are going to kick him out of the governors mansion. He had to do something and…
