Denmark is not just another country in the world. It is one of the happiest countries in the world, consistently ranking at the top of the U.N. Happiness report.

Maybe because nine out of ten Danes own a bike or possibly because Denmark consistently ranks at the bottom of the income inequality index. Whatever it might be, Danes are happy with their government, their life, and their country.

The Scandinavian country with a population of 5.8 million managed the pandemic way better than most countries in the world. . During the pandemic, Denmark's death toll was only 515 people per million citizens, compared to 2,499 per million in the United States.

What is there not to like?

People are happy. Income inequality is low. A highly efficient government that knows what to do even when there is a once-in-a-century pandemic. Nearly 80% of the country is fully vaccinated, while an additional 4% are on the first dose.

Instead of taking things easy when herd immunity is within reach, Denmark has sent a massive warning for other countries by preparing for Omicron's winter surge.
