Yea. I am monitoring. Some attack did occur. But the scale of representation the Russian army gave is just way too much to believe.
"The ministry claimed 250 Ukrainian troops had been killed, and 16 tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles and 21 armored personnel carriers destroyed. It also claimed that Valery Gerasimov, the Russian chief of general staff, had been near the frontlines when the attack was repelled. The Russian defence ministry has consistently made exaggerated claims about the casualties its forces have inflicted."
No way Gerasimov would have been there, and if he was there Russia would have splashed the destroyed western tanks and armored fighting vehicles and paraded them around as a massive victory.
Leaning more towards a localized attack as ISW reported and without the newly acquired weapons. Let me collect more data and then I will release the article shortly.
I dont think Ukraine is still ready to launch the counter offensive. It is still at least weeks away. The shaping ops has to go on for a longer while. Last year, Ukraine took two full months to shape the battlefield in the Kherson sector before launching the offensive.
My bet is we are at least one month away before seeing the leopard on the battlefield.
Thanks.
