Yes, this is probably the first time, only external actors are going to be a threat. Internal actors can be dismissed due to lack of political value. Making the case for war to their constituents is not going to get them far. If there ever was a time to politically crush these players, then the time would be now. I sincerely hope the institutions on both sides for peace, truly step up to the plate and put those players under intense pressure. Sometimes, thinktanks do have a role to play.
